My Son is an Old Fart Too

Last night Dylan dumped his piggy bank out and told me he needed change to buy the paper on the way home from school. Now Dylan reads alot, so I didn’t think that was too odd at all. He arrived home from school today, newspaper in hand, kicked off his shoes and headed up to where all men read the paper: the throne. How fitting.
I’m heading to the ER on the advice of the ob/gyn department at the hospital, when Daren gets home. Lumpy is now the size of a golf ball and I’ve got chills. After reading all these horror stories, I’m not looking forward to the wait, nor the treatment. Sigh.
Edited at 7:15 p.m.:? Leaving now - forget the golf ball.? It’s the size of a freaking orange now.? Holy shit people.? Hopefully I will get to come home tonight, but who knows.?

An orange. Wow, being human sucks, doesn’t it?

Oh god, Karen, I hope everything turns out OK. And I hope they give you the good pain meds to keep you happy for awhile after all this.

Dude. Yikes. I’m sending good thoughts toward you and the orange.
Love your new blog design, BTW! (Um, is that an inappropriately cheery comment to someone who is on their way to the ER?)

Hey Karen my thoughts for your health, healing and well being are with you. Hope to see you back here soon..
Can understand what a daunting experience it msut have been when it was diagnosed and you were told you’d have to go to hospital- I was blank when wheeled in to operating theater -had laparscopic surgery for an big haemorrhagic ovarian cyst Sept 05 and just sailed right back into life, but now I realize I should have taken time to do things like meditation and affirmations; calm body down after surgery and restore self after anesthesia especially:
“My body heals quickly and easily”-after surgery
Every cell in my body vibrates with energy and health” and “I am healthy, healed and whole”
(from Louise Hay)
