You Guys Are All A Bunch of Jerks

It’s not often I go back and read the archives of a newly-discovered (by me, anyway) blogger. I think the last time I went through someone’s archives was Jenny’s of Three Kid Circus. Her writing and her kids crack me right up and well, she is a talented lady.
But tonight I was surfing and found this blog, called A Girl and a Boy. I forget how I got there, but once I did, I was hooked. I read several entiries before truckin’ on over to “Leah’s” 100 things page, and that captivated me for a good long time as I took in her writing creativity. In particular, these four points that first had me worried about her but amused me greatly by number 32:
29. I deal with the fear of death nearly every day.
30. I suffer from moderate obsessive-compulsive disorder, claustrophobia, agoraphobia, and some sort of gastrointestinal dysfunction not-so-lovingly referred to as “stomach monkeys.”
31. I believe the above neuroses were subconsciously invented to make up for my complete lack of common disorders such as low self-esteem, passive-aggressive behavior, distorted body-image, eating disorders, religious fanaticism, or bigotry.
32. I am one of the most well-adjusted people I know.
So I got all mad that you guys didn’t ever talk about Leah, because I would have found her sooner and gotten to read her all this time.
But then!
I clicked a few of her comment links and found I didn’t know anyone there but JenB and HeatherB. Neither one of them told me about Leah. Jerks.*
So really, since my real last name starts with B, making me KarenB, and I’m concluding the following: a) I have a new blog crush and ya’ll should totally go visit her and love her; and b) People with last names that start with B are jerks.
So here’s an assignment for ya. Find a new blogger and dive into their archives, then introduce them to your readers. You can start in my blogroll and see if there’s anyone there you’ve never heard of, if you want, it’s below and also at the bottom of the links page.
*I don’t really think JenB or HeatherB are jerks. They are both lovely people. I’m sure I’ll get over this soon.

Holy shit, that’s a long blogroll. You have some serious literary endurance. But there are many, many on there I’ve never read. I’ll add several of them to my list to check out. Right now I’m still trying to get through the new blogs of everyone who delurked last week.

I’m tickled pink - I’m in your daily reads. Crap woman, that’s a lot of daily reads! My “daily reads” are actually “weekly reads”.
Since I have a fear afternoon, I’ll be checking out Leah’s blog and that A Girl and A Boy blog. If you say they are good, they must be good.

My last name starts with a “B” and for some reason, I totally feel flattered to be lumped in with the other “B” jerks.
I see my Ain’t it a Bitch blog up there on your blogroll. I had no idea you read that but then, I’ve got four freakin’ blogs and that is/was my wordpress test blog. I’ve been writing more in my Petroglyph Paradox as it’s more “New Mexico flavored.” I guess I’d better go post something on the granny blog…lol! (Actually, I was gonna use the granny blog as my bitchin’ space; you know, the one I swear on… lol)
Well, now it looks like I’ll NEVER be bored in trying to find blogs to read. Thank you. Thank you for yet another excuse for not going out and finding a job…lol.

It’s always so funny to be online at the same time as one of your favorite bloggers… and see that immediate response.

I chose CPA Mom from your blogroll, and after reading only one post, discovered that we live in the same State, work out at the same kind of gym, and are both on Weight Watchers. Can you pick ‘em or what??!! I’m looking forward to reading her archives, then I’ll introduce her on my blog later this week.

I’m sure I’ll be visiting a few of these, even though I need another blog on my blog roll like I need another hole in my head. I’ll have to post my blogroll this week too. With tax season gearing up, I need something to divert attention from my own lackadaisical posting. And CPA Mom is awesome, I don’t know who was more excited about her new design, me or her; I had been trying to get her to at least put a blogroll in her old one for 6 months! She was one of my first commenters and readers and she’s a CPA like me!

I can’t even remember where I ended up, but my boss came back from the bank and I had to shutdown explorer so I didn’t save the link (and because I am obviously getting old, I can’t even remember the name of the blog…it was a good one too).

Oh, man. Do you know what I’ve been doing almost all day? I’m hooked on Leah’s writings (agirlandaboy) and have read almost everything she’s written. I’ve been laughing all afternoon. Great read.
So, no, I didn’t get around to that assignment even though I did click on a bunch of blogs, read a few, commented (and put them on my favs so I can come back and concentrate) but I kept going back to Leah’s.
Totally fuzzy fez!
Our kids totally hate me now so I took them on a guilt trip McDonald’s run. “Hurry up! You’ve got fifteen minutes in playland and then we are leaving! I’ve got things to do!”
Uh huh.

Well…I haven’t been very active lately. Well, color me flattered! I seriously don’t know what to say. If I weren’t typing I’d be stuttering. Or going GAAAAHHHHH. Especially since I find myself in such good (and prolific!) company.

Oh, I am sooo going to do this. I use Bloglines, so my list has like 200 people on it, but whats a few 100 more?
(Yes, I have kids. Yes, I read all those blogs every day. I just throw the young’uns in a room with some candy and TV, and read blogs all. day. long. It’s amazing I am still married)

I don’t have a blog…but just came here today via Carmen and am vowing to delurk more, read more blogs, and maybe at some point get off my butt and start my own.
But, I have one to recommend that is so great and I haven’t seen her on any blogrolls in this crowd. I don’t know her, but she is the writer who got me hooked on blogs:

Read here from time to time and today I got here from CPA Mom. This is a nice idea and I’m impressed with how much it has energized everyone.
I don’t have much of a blogroll yet, but I will do something similar on my blog.
Thanks to some recommendations I checked out Pioneer Woman and enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. Of course I now I can’t get “Where Have all the Cowboys Gone?” out of my head.
