Channeling Britney Spears: I Am A Dirty Mama And All My Makeup is Running.
September 25, 2007
This is what happens when you’re busy juggling emails and Oprah and a bag of Tostitos while you *think* your 3 year old is upstairs playing with his toys:
You go to take a shower (yes at 3 p.m. - ahem) and discover that not only is your makeup bag sopping wet with water from the counter, but said water is running down the vanity and into the drawers with the hair brushes and the scrunchies and the pads and the tampons.
Well, at least those last two things are absorbent.
Oh shit.? As I’m writing this, he discovered my chocolate stash under the couch.? Oy.
Oh shuddap - like you haven’t had days like this.

Oh yeah, I know that day. I even know the other day, where you know they are doing that shit, but the make-up sacrifice is worth 10 more minutes of down time.
Hope it gets better.

Oh, lordy. That’s a bad one.
So far today, I’ve discovered the new keyboard (the replacement from the last one that was colored with Sharpie) colored on, the kitchen table is colored, my husband’s book from the library was colored in, and there’s a big red spot of Gatorade in the play room. I don’t believe in giving kids Gatorade, but we had NO juice and a melt-down was coming on, so I caved and gave her watered-down “juice.” See what I get!
Oh, the joys.

At least you have a good excuse for White Trash Mom why you don’t have to make Halloween crafts out of your extra tampons - http://www.whitetrashmom.com/2007/09/halloween-tampo.html.
Sorry about your day…and your chocolate!

So, does it make me a bad mom that sometimes I KNOW my son is doing something that I will have to clean up later and every once in a while I just let him be because I need another minute to myself? Those couple minutes alone are worth the mess?
I so wish we lived near each other because I have a feeling we would be great friends.
