A minute ago, Thomas asked me where the treat he was saving was.
Um.
“I don’t know what you mean Thomas. What does it look like?”
“It’s from Dylan heart doctor’s office.”
I thought for a moment. Ohhh! Lightbulb! “You mean the sucker the nurse gave you?”
“YEAH! Where is it???”
“It’s in your backpack in the side pocket,” I answered.
After I unwrapped it, he held the round lollipop up in the air and screamed, “YAY! IT’S A BALL SUCKER!”
I couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

That’s pretty cute. It’s hilarious and wonderful to hear how kids put words together in unintentionally funny ways. My kids often say things that make me think about what words mean compared to how we use them. Often the kids versions are much more accurate.

My niece loves suckers we get from the bank. If I leave it in the car by accident she goes crazy til I get it out. I just don’t understand the appeal. LOL

Does he eat the stick? Mine feels compelled to eat the stick on every damn sucker he gets.
He also eats the french fry paper thing now that I think about it.
I think I might need to add that to the list of things that I obsessively ask the peditrician about on Monday at his 4 year check….must be some vitamin deficiancy.
Or not enough balls.
